Welcome

This May, here in the library we have a Teenage Book Club to support the Book Week 2013. This program (or campaign) is the longest running children's festival in Australia to encourage young Australians, like you are, to love literature and reading.

This blog is dedicated to the lovers of fantasy genre. It is only for those of you who love books with world building, magical realm and unrealistic kind a stories. And of course, each fortnight there will be different topic. You could always make suggestion of what topic is going to be of interest.

So, this fortnight topic will be all about Girl Heroes, or sometimes can be called heroines. Therefore, the main character in all the book list is girl. No disrespect for boys though. The girl character is depicted by extraordinary courage and achievements. So, most of you should be able to feel a certain kinship or admiration for a specific heroine. And then you will get inspired by the boldness of the characters.

Not only that, this book list will be presented on 6 June 2013. So, if feel like doing something fun in this school holiday, feel free to drop by at the Fairfield Library, and enjoy some free goodies.

And remember to join the conversation on Twitter with@BookClubFairfield by using the hashtag #girlHeroes. Followers are encouraged to Tweet about all type of book genres, share their own review, and join in other book-related conversations. One more thing, don't forget to also follow this blog.
